I am loving that i am up right now at 11:45 pm and i don't even care.
I am loving that i can sleep in as late as i want..
change out of my pajamas whenever i want..
enjoy breakfast..
go to the movies..
go shopping..
And not have to worry about homework, or alarms, or enough sleep, or school or anything.
i LOVE christmas break!!!


first off, i love christmas itself. Candy canes, mistletoe, fresh fallen snow, warm hands, peppermint, hot chocolate, shredded gift wrapping, shimmering lights, evergreens, scented pine cones, warm blankets, soft pillows, sweet dreams. christmas through and through. I love it all every single bit of it. And not just the presents--everything..the suspense leading up to christmas, the countdown. How it brings people together, how you create family memories for years and years. 


But now that that's all over.. there's nothing left to do but relax and start writing down new year's resolutions.


What are your new years resolutions?? I have a few..but I'm still working on the list.
*Mange my time better. definitely. I've got a lot on my plate and I don't need to add to it by goofing around when i can get some work done. hard work pays off!
*Make some time for others. Since I've got a lot on my plate I'm focusing less and less on others and more and more on what I need to accomplish. I need to just forget myself sometimes and look for people who need maybe a smile or hello. sometimes i get caught up in my own little world, when i could really be doing something better than helping myself.
*Improve! I'm not perfect at anything nor will I ever be. but all I can do is try my best and get better!
*Make time to just relax. A super busy life is not a fun life. it's not an enjoyable life or a fulfilling life. It's just a life where you go from one thing to the next. I need to get things done early so I can make room to really relax..These days I only relax when I shower or go to the bathroom. sad right. this is why i need christmas break.


Well have a happy rest of your break, and I hope new years means more to you than just another year!!

i signed up for nanowrimo
(national novel writing month)
in june. For nanowrimo, you have to write a novel in a month. the length is according to your word count goal. if you win you get tons of writer's goodies and a code so you can get your book printed.


and guess who has hardly worked on their novel at all??

So i lowered my word count goal to 3500.. and i've been trying to work on it over the break.. 
i just can't get any good ideas. i don't know how to bring everything together and i feel like i'm just copying other books.

*in facs, i stab a needle through my nail. because let's just say i accidentally put my nail under the presser foot but i didn't know the needle was so low so the needle stabbed right through. 


*in science yesterday, we were watching an old video about explosions. the night before i went to bed at 11 at woke up at 5:15. so i just put my hands in my face and fell asleep..
then i suddenly woke up and i'm like "why the crap am i in mr. wood's room". And i'm all oh yeah. i'm still in school instead of in my bed sleeping. 
my friend said i was probably out for like, 10 minutes or something..
but before that i was kinda nodding off




First time i've ever slept in school. i'm so proud of myself!!;)

bad/sad/glad news

okay, i've got bad news and good news.


the bad news is... well my feather fell out and it was supposed to last at least two months, but it only lasted a little more than two WEEKS!!



the sad news is... so i returned my sad broken sunglasses and got 10 bucks back (yuss) so then i got some other sunglasses. they're blue, but they have HUGE HUGE scratches on both lenses!! holy hannah grr.


and the GLAD news is...(finally)... i went school shopping today!! i usually don't find pants that fit, but i did..at downeast! wow. my mom usually doesn't take me till september/october. got dang lucky! ;)

SO... you know about my little sunglasses incident. So on Friday  I went to AE with my cousin to get some more. I though what the heck. they really can't break this time.


I brought them to church and put them in my bag. keep in mind i only had them for two days. after church, pulled em out of my bag. broken.

Today my moodre checked me out at 2:00.... to babysit. Seriously? This babysitting resource has been taken to the extreme!! Kidding, but at least i gotta skip gym!! That was awesome!!

Anyway I walked to the foyer to get checked out and oh my gosh. oh my dearest mom. 
We were wearing, like, the almost exact same shirt, cardigan, pants, and our shoes were the same color. And our hair looked almost the same.
i knew my mom had dug it out of her closet, because i had once worn my shirt and she's like "Oh i have one like that somewhere" But little did she know I was wearing the shirt the day she decided to!!

And then someone who worked in the office asked if we were sisters!!??
i hoped against hope the lady was talkin bout me and nella. my moods is like "Look we are totally twinners!!" oh boy.

math geeks

So, Wednesday I got to skip school because of the state math competition. It was...interesting...
Well I went with Beli (anna meredith) and mckenzie. we hopped on a bus and picked up some kids from bountiful high and mueller park.. and guess who hopped on the bus too?

if you don't know who he is, doesn't matter. but he got on and was like "Oh my gosh, hi!!" to someone you probly don't know. i'm like oh great let's have a blast.
Then we got to utah state an hour later, took the test for 90 minutes, that's not the creeper part. You had to stay in the room for at least 90 minutes, but you had 2 1/2 hours to do the test. it was really hard and we hadn't learned any of it yet. but anywho, after 1  1/2 hours, me and beli left. you could go get lunch after that.
so we got our little sack lunchies and sat down. All around, i noticed the other kids who had taken the test from different schools ALL HAD MATH SHIRTS... 
ex. there was a shirt with one stick figure and then part of the stick figures legs. on the back it said "5/4 of people have trouble with fractions" there was another guy w/ a shirt that had a sq. root sign with a negative 1 under it, then a heart, then math. I heart math. Oh dear these people need a life. And then there were just plain pi signs. i thought oh crap what have i surrounded myself in...


so i ate lunch with beli when this guy with a black beard turns toward me. he's like "name someone that plays on the jazz" i'm like "uhh kirilinko, derin williams used to, and went to new jersey.. whY?" he turns to this kid and whispers "see she even knows what team he went to" he turns back to us. "now name a mathmetician" beli said someone who i don't know and he said "no living." we're like "idk, why??" and he tells us how he was talking to the kid about colleges. and how you only know what people are talking about unless you're familiar with it. and then he said we probly have no idea what basketball is and called us math nerds and said if he went to a basketball team they would know what he's talking abou.t
i interrupted and said "uh i was on the team!!" But he ignored me. loser.


then i was saying stuff about square roots and he asked me to say radical instead of square root because it sounds so much cooler. i was creeped out. and he asked me if i've ever felt like i've been punched really hard in the stomach. and i think he was a teacher because teachers were called up to get answer keys to the test and he went up!!!!!!
Creeper.

Then on the way back, the bountiful high kids started doing weird things... they were all zitty 11th grade boys. i suddenly heard "okay the alto part will be 'ttttthhhhheeeeeeyyyyyyyy'rreee happy!" "the bass part will be 'happy happy hapy happy' " "this part will be 'there are squirrels in my nose-there are-squirrels in my nose' "  "and my part will be They are friends with the chickens that are in my nose, they are friends with the chickens that are in my nose" So they started singing this song about squirrels in your nose and how they're friends with the chickens in their nose and how the squirrels are happy.......


then they sung "save the wwwhhhaallleees!!" and this song from veggie tales that they had completely memorized...


I'm traumatized.

i went to applebees and got a deliciouso fiesta lime chicken, got a manipedi, took medicine, watched moms needs mars, got mostly jewelry but no complaints(super cute i love them!!)
oh yeah and i had to babysit on my own bday but whatever it wasn't that bad. 
and I'm sickish! Dang! Well oh well. I woke up about three times in the night sick. it would be like five in the morning and i'd say "oh yeah happy bday" to myself as i blew my nose miserably!! But that's okay, i took some medicine in the morning that made up for it.

Okay, i swear i've done another post since valentine's! wow i've done a crappy job.
anyway, here's some news:
1) bball's over!!!!! Sad + annoying +awesome +fun + rip my hair outish= being on bball team! It's time consuming but it's way fun, so worth it. i've had so much free time lately now that it's over!
2) loving the springish weather...hope it lasts..!
3) Oh yeah, PS no more morning practices!!
4) luke's bday was on friday! birthday shoutout! i decorated the basement and got colored paper and wrote on it really weird stuff. Like I drew pics of him and said "that's you!" and made raps about him and stuff like that.also i made a banner that said "happy bday luke!" and the E was backwards. my cuzzy caden helped!
5) I don't know about any of you, but I just feel like there's a tingly feeling in the air... sorta like magic! march is a tingly season.

6) i had this piano thing on saturday where you have to memorize a whole bunch of baloney so we'll see how that goes! i get a medal whether i did good or bad though thank heavens

7) i just realized that shout and out rhyme... and when you put it together it's a fun word

8) yesterday i won a cake from a cake walk from a mardi gras party @ st. olaf's

so yeah. I had a pretty bad fever on friday (sucky i know) + a cough, on saturday the same, sunday minus the cough, and monday uhh.... same as sunday. i've been losing my mind! I've been a social outcast!! what will the people at school do without me?? :) jk, though, my valentine's was soooo fun today. I woke up to the freshness of my delicious cough. Yummy yummy. then i got a new red shirt, and that's the actual good part! then i sat around in my stink and ugly hair all day, woohoo!! 


well, hope yall's <3 day was better than mine!! because somebody caught the snickles...

today.... i was kidnapped.

DUN dun DUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was taken out of my house against my own will and stuffed in a car.

And then they took me to a delicious breakfast.

if you're wondering what the heck i'm talking about, well i'll tell you.

today i was laying in my bed at about 6:30 cuz my alarm went off like a couple minutes before that but i was waaayy too lazy to get up, when i heard footsteps coming up the stairs. i'm like,

"what the...."
so then they started coming in my room... and i was like,

"????"
Then i heard a girl say "Okay time to get up. we gotta go to school."
so i looked up and there were three girls from my basketball team!!
and then i was like "????" So i had to hurry and get my bball stuff and put some shoes on and put in my contacts, and then we left!!!
We woke up a few other girls on the team and headed over to someone's house where we had a really good breakfast!! then we had to go to school in our pj's and messy hair with a sign around our neck saying "Hug me!! I made the MJH Basketball team!!"
It was fun!!! i wanna get kidnapped again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....as weird as that sounds... :) :)

anxiety

i am really really really really really anxious right now!!

why, you may ask. well....

basketball tryouts were on monday, and there were like 33 or 31 or something like that girls. man i surprisingly made the first cut (9 girls were cut)!!!!
so i tried out again today, the last tryouts. only two people are getting cut and the rest are on the team. i am so so so so nervous. they're posting it up tomorrow in the morning before school....

i'll tell you what anxiety like this feels like. well it's like a whole bunch of tingly little bubbles bumping around and occasionally electrocuting you and sparking inside your stomach.

I HATE IT!!!!!!
i know when i said bubbles it was probly misleading.... yeah they're evil bubbles. disguised as nice cute cuddly little bubbles when really they are dangerous evil little bubbles that seek to destroy you and eat out your stomach in every way possible...

so if you don't like that feeling, don't try out for sports. the bubbles will eat your insides!!
